Ashanti is all excited about her new album, which she is developng under Universal.

Ashanti is all excited and states ” It’s just a big year for me — I feel really, really excited about the album.”

Ashanti’s video “ Switch” is the first video which portrays couple Ashanti and Nelly together.Ashanti has made this album “ Switch” all on her own without any help from anybody. as previously her albums were produced by Irv Gotti.

Ashanti is really happy handling this album by herself.

Ashanti says “With this album, I’m taking the lead with everything. I’m steering my own ship. I’m doing everything on my own. I have a label that I’m developing under Universal as well. It’s just a big year for me — I feel really, really excited about the album.”

Producers Jermaine Dupri, L.T. Hutton, Babyface and Polow Da Don all worked with her on the project.

Well lets wait and watch how the album has turned out.

Nelly’s representatives at Universal Records and Ashanti’s reps at Huff Entertainment have denied the recent rumors that the two had gotten engaged recently.

“Contrary to current rumor and gossip on websites and other media, Ashanti is not engaged,” revealed Ashanti’s rep.

I think its about time that Ashanti should settle down… but if Nelly is the right guy or not, only time will tell.
